Malta High School is preparing to launch a new fundraising effort through Snap! Raise to help offset the growing costs of providing athletic opportunities for Malta students. Student-athletes are currently only collecting contact information from family members, friends and other potential supporters. The first campaign will officially launch Thursday, August 20, with Malta High School Football, followed shortly by Volleyball and Cross Country. Malta Athletics plans to offer the fundraiser to each high school athletic program throughout the school year.
What to Expect. Once a campaign launches, supporters identified by student-athletes may receive an email or text message through Snap! Raise. These messages are legitimate and are part of an official Malta Athletics fundraising campaign.
Why Snap! Raise? Malta Athletics wanted a system that could reach supporters beyond the immediate community, reduce the time coaches and athletes spend selling products or collecting money, provide clear tracking and reporting, and offer a more predictable financial return. As part of Malta Athletics' agreement, Snap! Raise has provided the athletic program with a $22,000 fundraising guarantee, contingent upon meeting the agreed campaign participation requirements.
Montana Results and Use. Snap! Raise is already used by a number of Montana schools and organizations. Scobey raised more than $26,000 in 2025. In 2026, Jefferson High School Wrestling and Boys Basketball raised approximately $29,000 combined. University of Montana Western Volleyball raised about $10,000 in two weeks, and Gallatin High School DECA raised more than $30,000. The Frontier Conference partnered with Snap! Raise in 2025, and programs at Frenchtown, Polson, Florence-Carlton, Libby, Big Sky, Hellgate, Glacier and Bozeman High have also utilized the platform. These results, along with Malta's guaranteed fundraising amount, were important factors in selecting Snap! Raise.
How Donations Are Used. Money received by Malta Athletics through the campaign will be deposited into the MHS Athletic account and used to help offset the costs of operating Malta's athletic programs, including travel, lodging, postseason meals, equipment, uniforms and other expenses associated with providing opportunities for student-athletes. The fundraiser is intended to supplement existing athletic funding as costs continue to increase.
What Does Snap! Raise Charge? For donations made through the Snap! Raise platform, Snap! Raise retains 15% of the donation. There is no upfront cost to Malta Athletics. In exchange, Snap! Raise provides the fundraising technology, campaign setup and support, email and text outreach, automated reminders and thank-you messages, donation tracking and reporting, and assistance from a dedicated fundraising representative. The $22,000 guarantee provides Malta Athletics with an additional level of predictability in exchange for utilizing the service.
Can I Donate Directly? Absolutely. Snap! Raise is one option for supporting Malta Athletics, not the only one. Anyone who prefers to make a direct donation may provide a check directly to Malta Athletics through the school. Direct donations made to Malta Athletics are not subject to the Snap! Raise platform fee, and we appreciate community support regardless of the method used.
Privacy and Security. Snap! Mobile states that it does not sell or share program, participant or donor data and maintains privacy and security practices designed for schools and student programs. Snap! Mobile is also the Official and Exclusive Fundraising Platform Partner of the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS).
