The statewide Reimagining Rural program is coming to Malta, Montana this February, offering residents an energizing opportunity to explore fresh ideas, strengthen community connections, and spark local action. Led by MSU Extension’s Community Vitality team, Reimagining Rural helps rural towns identify new possibilities and build momentum for positive change.
Malta will host a three-part series on:
February 4, 6–8 PM
February 11, 6–8 PM
February 18, 6–8 PM
During each session, participants will join communities across Montana in viewing statewide presentations that highlight inspiring rural success stories, practical tools, and innovative approaches to community development. After the shared broadcast, local attendees in Malta will meet in person to discuss what resonates most and explore how these ideas can be adapted to meet local needs.
Since its launch, Reimagining Rural has helped dozens of Montana communities strengthen volunteer networks, revitalize downtowns, secure grant funding, and build a renewed sense of local pride. The Malta series offers the same opportunity—inviting residents, business owners, civic groups, and community leaders to envision what’s possible for Malta’s future.
Everyone is welcome to attend. Bring your ideas, your curiosity, and your hope for what Malta can become.
